Renovation of the 1960’s era Commanding Officer’s House at Fort Colonial Michilimackinac, a completely reconstructed fort in Mackinaw City MI. Renovation included dividing the building into four rooms, three of which would be period settings and one designated a gallery for an interpretive display illustrating the history of the building and the commander who lived there.
Of the three period setting rooms one is a static period setting, one is a period setting with a transparent projection screen which projects characters who speak about the people who lived in the home. The third period setting is set up for use by interpreters.
Responsibilities:
-Designer for Gallery area, including graphic and case design.
-Planning and implementation of the period setting projection, utilizing filming by an outside vendor.
-Fabrication of all gallery elements from Artifact Mounts to Casework.
